DAY 7: "HOME SCHOOLING MOM INSPIRES YOUNG WRITERS EVERYWHERE." That's just one of the headlines I fantasize about. Is that weird? To fantasize about my own hypothetical media? As I slowly move into my author identity, what still guides my days is my home-school-mom identity. My son graduates in two weeks with a high school diploma AND an AA degree from the local community college (at age 17). My daughter is finishing up her first year of high school. Both have been home schooled since kindergarten. (I like to say, "since birth.") She and I field tripped today to the Seattle Science Center to see the King Tut exhibit. That's why my novel isn't proof-read. But that's OK. I'm still a home-school-mom first, author second.
